I developed Strong Women 2024 to give you the tools needed to be stronger in multiple body systems, improve your mobility and prevent disease and injuries.
Our lifestyle does not provide the movement we need to make our muscles, bones, minds, hearts and guts as happy and healthy as we deserve them to be.
Strength and vitality don’t just occur, especially as we age. They are the result of accurate body knowledge and implementing a plan over time. In Strong Women 2024, this is what you’ll get.
With me and my expertise as a physical therapist, you’ll properly identify individual opportunities for improvement and develop the knowledge you need to build strength and health in the long term.
You’ll create a plan and make it a consistent habit with the support of a joyful community of trans, non-binary and cis women.

What if I can’t make the livestream every week?
All classes are available on demand. Take them when your schedule allows.
Will we all do the same exercises?
No. Dr. Bunch will assess each individual and design an appropriate strength sequence for you. There will be similarities and some differences in each participant’s exercises.
Will I do the same exercises for 10 weeks?
No. Dr. Bunch will reassess each participant’s progress every three weeks and update individual programs as folks progress with healthy form and building strength.
Do I already need to be working out?
Not at all. Physical therapists are experts at progressing exercise for each individual from where they are now. Injuries, illnesses and special considerations are part of the human package and are all welcome here. You can get stronger right from where you are.
Do I need to like exercise to join?
No. It’s my experience that together we can create a movement practice that people look forward to. We’re playful, community based, science informed and we honor how your body feels. I’ve seen that combination create wonderful changes for folks who disliked exercise!
Movement is protective of health whether we enjoy it or not. Like brushing teeth, it’s just a smart thing to do. Reams of data show us that an exercise habit can stave off many of the most common life threatening health conditions. I hope that we come to love movement, but, truth be told, we only have to like exercising more than breaking a hip or having a heart attack.
Do I need a lot of equipment?
We’ll use long Therabands, circle bands and hand weights.
If you have a stability ball or exercise step, we may use them. If you don’t have those, no worries!
How much time will it take?
January 4 – March 5
Tuesdays 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Designing Your Movement Habit & Exercise Science Lesson
Weds 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: Live Coached Strength Training.
Anytime: 1-2 more sessions on your own.
Classes meet twice a week for an hour and you’ll do another 30 minutes to one hour each week on your own. Total of 2.5 – 3 hours per week for 10 weeks over the winter.

Who is welcome to attend?
I am excited to host this space for women to connect and grow stronger together. Strong Women 2024 is intentionally inclusive of all cis, trans, and non-binary women. All who live as a woman and/or possess the feminine spirit are welcome. Individual expressions of gender under the umbrella of “women” are encouraged to participate in Strong Women 2024. I identify as non-binary and woman and use pronouns she/they. Also, all pets are encouraged to attend!
Do I go to a gym or do these at home?
Strong Women 2024 is made to do with bodyweight and some gear at home. I’m willing and able to incorporate gym equipment into your individual program if you prefer to go to the gym.
